The TCT Approach
Achieving athletic excellence goes beyond mere discipline; it's about nurturing a healthy relationship with yourself, your community, and the ongoing journey toward creating purpose in this life. At TCT, we believe that sustainable health is cultivated in an environment that embraces personal growth, empowers supportive connections, and inspires consistent, mindful habits. Our philosophy revolves around integrating conscious choices into your daily life. The TCT approach is designed to enhance every aspect of your wellness, while minimizing the risks of injury, and maintaining your enthusiasm for the journey. We emphasize the importance of how you move, recover, and nourish your body, recognizing that your relationship with yourself is vital to thriving. Many other programs focus too narrowly on external results, often sacrificing overall health through excessive intensity and frequency. We choose to prioritize efficient movements that not only promote consistency but also protect your body from undue strain over time. This training method pushes you to develop a lean and athletic physique, while enhancing strength and mobility for long term sustainability . Our dedicated team of specialists is committed to guiding you through every stage of your fitness journey. We believe in fostering open communication and tracking your progress to ensure you remain engaged and inspired, creating an environment where growth thrives.

Trevor Cyr
Sport has always been a guiding force toward experiences I wanted in life. It has allowed me to discover who I am, what I intend to offer to the world, and how scary things can be when not in control of yourself. In 2014, I broke my back while preparing for my senior lacrosse season at University. I fell into the wrong habits, the wrong addictions, and the wrong crowds. I lashed out at loved ones, took on risky behaviours, and broke promises to myself.
When the time came to take action, it was obvious how ill-prepared I was to achieve what I wanted. In the years following, I diligently curated a lifestyle that best defines the kind of person I sought out to be -someone that is dedicated to personal development and community.
In discovering an opportunity to help others avoid the same mistakes I made, I went to work on taking the next big leap of faith - starting a business.
In 2017, I founded Take Control Training, which strives to change the approach of how we prepare our bodies and minds. We preach about the importance of being a multi-dimensional human being, and to take pride in all that we do.
As a coach, I understand the importance of vulnerability, consistency, and honesty. My athletes are encouraged to share who they are with the entire TCT community, and they have. I love the amount of memories and traditions we have created over the past 7.5 years, and not a day goes by where I am ungrateful for the opportunity to help.
